The new Smyrna beach museum of East coast surfing, Inc. was established by a gang of local surfers, who had a combined surfing experience of two hundred years. They lived and revived the sport in the late ‘60s and became part of an evolution of local surfing culture.
This unique museum has a fascinating display of surfing memorabilia including surfboards, movies, magazines, historic photos and surf art’s was named as one of the ‘top ten surf towns’ in 2019 and one of the best beach towns in NY national geographic (2019), business inside (2013) and travel and leisure magazine (2013).
This museum not only displays fantastic movies from the late ‘50s to date but also promotes local surf shops, manufacturers, artists, and beach-oriented businessmen. Despite being in limelight for so many years, this museum is temporarily closed as they are moving to a new location.
